Rogue Wave
Rogue Wave is a rhythm-action roguelite where every attack is part of the music.
Fight through waves of enemies by hitting elemental notes in time with the beat. Each successful input fires an attack, builds your riff, and helps shape the soundtrack of the run.
Choose from four elemental musicians:
Fire — electric guitar Earth — bass guitar Water — 12-string guitar Air — mandolin
Each element has its own Super, playstyle, and upgrade paths. As the run goes on, you add more notes, mutate your abilities, find power-ups, and build stranger, denser musical patterns.
The goal isn’t to play a “correct” melody. You’re given a musical sandbox and build your own little loop through the choices you make.
Current prototype features:
- Rhythm-based elemental combat
- Groove and Solo lane modes
- Four playable elemental musicians
- Super abilities and mutations
- Roguelite upgrades
- Power-up crates
- Pirate enemy types and formations
- Adjustable starting tempo
- Multiple difficulty modes
- Desktop and mobile controls
This is an active prototype, so balance, visuals, audio, and systems are still evolving.
Fight to the beat. Build your own riff.
